In my opinion, these ASICS Split Second II wrestling shoes are some of the best that have ever been made. From the look, to the fit, to the performance, they just rocked. I still have an old old pair somewhere that are very warn out, but I can’t bear to toss them.

Personal Effects starting Ashton Kutcher and Michelle Pheifer is was just released in the U.S on DVD.
It’s a story about two people who are lost in their lives and find each other. It’s also about a boy with some special needs and he learns to channel himself through wrestling.
Ashton Kutcher is a wrestler & coach in the movie.

Thought this was a pretty cool overhead shot of boxers in the ring. You can see the Adidas and Nike wrestling shoes gripping the mat as the boxers fight it out.
Twilight’s Rosalie Plays Baseball in Wrestling Shoes November 23, 2008

I was out at the movies this weekend and saw Twilight. Much to my surprise, the character Rosalie was wearing wrestling shoes while they were playing baseball.
This is the best picture I could find on the net; which isn’t very good.
The shoes are basic black Asics. Something like this:
If you go to see the movie, just watch during the baseball scene and the one after that. She’s got her baseball gear on and, oddly enough, wrestling shoes.

Caught this nice pict when browsing around Flickr. It’s a store front that showcases MMA, wrestling and boxing gear. You also can see some ninja swords. How cool is that?! Seems like a pretty good store to check out if you are in the Toronto area.

Have you seen Never Back Down? It’s an MMA / fighting movie. It looks pretty good, but I have yet to see it. Just wondering what others thought.
Does it capture the sport of it or is it just to much teenage drama?
Jake Deitchler, You The Man June 26, 2008

Did you hear about Jake Deitchler? He’s a high school wrestler from Minnesota who beat out Harry Lester to make it into the Olympics!
Jake is only 18 and the third high school wrestler in history to make the olympic team. Needsless to say, they never thought he’d make it.
Lester won the third-place match and then retired immediately after. I guess sometimes, you just know it’s time to move on.
It’ll be fun to watch Jake Deitchler in China. Lets hope his skills get the man a metal!

New Cliff Keen USA Singlets A Bit To Designed? April 19, 2008

Now I’m a big fan of a graphic design. Basic one color singlets aren’t bad, but they are kind of boring. I like color and some patterns in singlets. However, the new Cliff Keen USA singlets may be a bit overboard.
There are two versions of the USA wrestling singlet; Eagle and Snake. The Eagle singlet repeats USA over and over again so you can’t forget where the wrestler is from. Then on the back, they put the American flag on the wrestlers butt. To me it looks like boxers. The back is cooler than the front though I think. The realistic buildings on the front just isn’t doing it for me as it’s to hard to see.
The Snake singlet also has and eagle on the front. Oddly enough, placed right at the mans crotch and then draws the dye down there. It also has the constitution on the leg. Like anyone is going to take the time to stop and read it. On the back is USA a few times, but hard to read each time as one letter seems to always be cut off. There is also the snake, who blends in a bit.
If I got to pick one, I’d defiantly take the Eagle one. The back is the coolest part, even though it looks like I’d be wearing flag underwear.
What do yo think of the new USA wrestling singlets?
